Feeding Your Demons: Transforming Obstacles Into Wisdom
November 2nd: 2pm, Unitarian Universalist Church, Pagosa Springs
November 3rd: 5:30pm, Durango Dharma Center, Durango

Within the ancient teachings of Tibetan Buddhism lies a method for facing – and dissolving – our fears, illnesses and emotional stumbling blocks. Lama Tsultrim Allione will present a practical application of a revolutionary, loving approach developed by a legendary Tibetan yogini, Machig Labdrön, almost 1,000 years ago. She will lead an experiential 5-step process that can help you meet and release what the Tibetans call 'demons' – the longings, fears, obsessions, illnesses and attachments we battle every day.

Day-long Retreat with Lama Tsultrim Allione
Feeding Your Demons: Transforming Obstacles Into Wisdom
November 15th, 10am - 4pm: Durango Dharma Center

Are you wrestling with your demons? Struggling with depression, anxiety, illness, an eating disorder, a difficult relationship, fear, self-hatred, addiction, or anger? Renowned American Buddhist leader Lama Tsultrim Allione will show how the harder we fight our demons, the stronger they become. If we want to liberate ourselves from the fight once and for all, we must reverse our approach and nurture our demons.  In Feeding Your Demons, Allione teaches a Western adaptation of the revolutionary wisdom of Tibet's greatest woman adept, Machig Labdrön, providing a powerful method for coping with the inner enemies that undermine your best intentions.

December 5-7: Feeding Your Demons and Prajna Paramita:
Turning Obstacles Into Wisdom

with Pieter Oosthuizen and Charlotte Rotterdam
Portland, OR

Pieter and CharlotteThis retreat offers an introduction to the process of Feeding your Demons, a powerful and profound method for working with rather than fighting against the obstacles, conflicts, and challenges of our life. By meeting our fears and obsessions, and offering them what they want, we allow them to transform into allies. Drawing on traditional practices and teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, this process was developed by Lama Tsultrim Allione, a Western Buddhist teacher and author of Feeding Your Demons: Ancient Wisdom for Resolving Inner Conflict. The retreat also introduces a Prajna Paramita meditation practice which invites us to awaken to the ultimate nature of mind and reality. The practice offers a spacious view to hold the deep personal work of Feeding your Demons.

The weekend will include teachings, meditation, discussion, and practice in the actual process of Feeding your Demons so that it may become of use to you on a daily basis. No previous experience or knowledge of Buddhism or meditation is necessary. All are welcome.

Ratna Retreat Cabin Open Most of November

Retreat CabinRatna Cabin is available for private retreat during the month of November, excluding the week of Nov. 17th, and through Dec. 5. Ratna is our largest and most remote cabin, and faces south into the 'secret valley'. The spaciousness of the view is matched with the roominess of the interior of the cabin. It offers unparalleled silence and solitude, far removed from the world, including vast views of Chimney Rock and the La Plata mountains. Tara Mandala retreat cabins provide a rare and precious opportunity to be completely secluded in a remote mountain setting.

Download a cabin handbook for complete information.
