Feeding Your Demons Evening Talk: October 1st, 7-9pmLama Tsultrim Allione
CIIS, San Francisco, CA
with Lama Tsultrim Allione
Within the ancient teachings of Tibetan Buddhism lies a meditation for facing - and transforming - our “demons”: fears, anxiety, depression, anger, addictions and illnesses. This approach offers a new paradigm, moving away from the hero’s journey of destroying what opposes us toward one of feeding, not fighting, those parts of ourselves or our world that we would normally fight against. This approach creates integration within the psyche as the demons transform into allies through inclusion and nurturing.

Prajna Paramita and Sky-Like Mind Daylong Retreat - October 4th, 10am - 4pm
Open Secret Bookstore, San Rafael, CA
with Lama Tsultrim Allione
This retreat will explore the nature of mind. The experience of  Prajna, one's capacity to perceive the ineffable vastness of basic  space, is what gives birth to all the Buddhas. Historic Mahayana  literature, girded by Tantric subcurrents, associates liberating wisdom  with the form of a goddess, Prajna Paramita. She is said to be the mother of all the Buddhas. Because these enlightened beings have issued  from the state of wisdom, she is the genetrix. Without this experience of her, they would not become Buddhas. This vast clarity, full of compassion, is the Great Mother, commonly described as vast and open as  the sky. Through meditation and relaxed dialogue we will experientially explore this theme.

Awakening Through the Sacred Feminine - A Retreat for Women: October 2nd - 9th
Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Woodacre, CA
with Julie Wester, Debra Chamberlin-Taylor, Anna Douglas, and Lama Tsultrim Allione
The dharma of wisdom and compassion can be realized through a variety of gateways. Many women find this realization most accessible through practices of the Sacred Feminine. The Sacred Feminine intuitively senses and deeply honors the interconnection of all life. As we invite the opening of this innate wisdom, our bodies, emotions and relationships become vehicles for awakening.
