Online Registration for all 2010 Retreats Now Open!

The 2010 schedule and detailed retreat descriptions, as well as online registration, are now online. Our retreat season this year begins with the Dzinpa Rangdröl with our beloved Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche and Lama Tsultrim in April, and concludes with a new offering: a month-long practice retreat for the serious student from mid-October through mid-November. Lama Tsultrim will be teaching Kapala Trainings Level I and II, Chöd, Green Tara, the long awaited Mandala of the Five Dakinis, The Family Retreat, and of course, the Three Yana Retreat. We are already gearing up for our second annual Drub Chen, also with Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche as well as many visiting Lamas.

This summer we will offer two yoga retreats. For the first time, Scott Blossom and Chandra Easton will teach their innovative style of yoga at Tara Mandala. This retreat, Shadow Yoga and Shamatha Meditation, is aimed toward those who wish to learn a set of practices for circulating and preparing the vital energies (prana) for meditation. The renowned Shiva Rea will again return to collaborate with Lama Tsultrim for her popular yoga retreat, Awakened Sensuality, which will teach singles and couples sacred sensuality through Tantric Yoga and meditation. The Catalyst School of Homeopathy will also be back for their second year of classes on the ancient and holistic art of Homeopathy.

We are also fortunate to be hosting the local Durango Dharma Center's guest teachers Eugene Cash and Pamela Weiss for a Vipassana Retreat in May. This traditional vipassana retreat will feature a sustained period of practice to cultivate composure, awareness and presence.

We are honored and blessed to share these precious offerings with you. May all beings benefit!

New Audio Recording of Lama Tsultrim's TeleTeaching

The January 10, 2010 TeleTeaching is now available via audio download on our website. Lama Tsultrim shared news from Tara Mandala and answered sangha questions in this hour-long teaching. The next TeleTeaching is scheduled for March 28, 2010. Details about how to register for this will be announced in a future TaraNet.

Tara Mandala Resident Retreat

The Residents of Tara Mandala are preparing to go into retreat for two weeks, January 30 - February 12. The office will be closed during this time, and will reopen on February 15. We will be doing individual solitary retreats, so if you have anyone you would like to add to our prayer lists, please email info@taramandala.org. The residents will come back together to celebrate Losar (Tibetan New Year) on February 14th. We will keep you all in our prayers and thoughts, treasuring the sacred connections we share through the web of Tara Mandala.
