Cary Twomey

Cary Twomey, (Rangshar Karmo Khandro), was raised in a Catholic family. She was introduced to Eastern meditation and the spiritual practices of Paramahansa Yogananda in her late teens, and immediately felt she was home. At age fourteen she begin a committed yogic and meditation practice in his Self-Realization Fellowship Lineage, which she has since continued. Cary is a Jungian Psychoanalyst, practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine, and Movement teacher.  She received her BFA in Dance and Choreography in 1991 and has been teaching dance, healing movement, Yoga and Pilates for the past twenty-eight years. She began training as a Jungian Analyst in 2001. She is specialized in the Mandala of Jung’s Psychological Typology as well as working with the Unconscious through Dream Symbolism. She has studied Ayurveda since 1998, and has a healing practice deeply rooted in the Feminine. Cary began study and practice in the Vajrayana and Dzogchen traditions in 2006; her heart teachers are: in the Bön tradition with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, in the Gelupa Lineage-Lama Tubten Yeshe and Gelek Rinpoche, with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, and Lama Tsultrim Allione. Cary has been practicing Feeding Your Demons® and the Mandala of the Five Dakinis since 2007. She is a mentor for the Magyü Lineage and Dzinpa Rangdröl Ngondro. Cary and her husband Lee are the founders of Haymarket Studio and the Midwest Dharma Wheel~a Dharma and Healing Center which they established in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2001. She is available for individual counseling and mentoring, or giving retreats and workshops.  She offers online personal sessions and guidance for those that live afar.
