White Dakini Drubcho

with Lama Tsultrim Allione, Tulku Ösel Dorje and Lopön Beth Lee-Herbert

June 25 - July 1, 2026

with Lama Tsultrim Allione, Tulku Ösel Dorje and Lopön Beth Lee-Herbert

For five intense days, Tara Mandala becomes a crucible of focused energy, where you will engage in precise tantric arts to purify obstacles and generate an ocean of merit. The true magic of this gathering lies in its radical generosity; the accumulated blessings are poured out freely for the entire community. To witness or participate in a Drubchö is not merely to observe a ritual, but to step into a current of grace—a unique convergence of sacred art and selfless intention, creating an unparalleled opportunity for collective renewal.

Drubchö, a vibrant Tibetan Buddhist ritual that translates to “Accomplishment Ritual,” is an intensive practice retreat focused on activating a central mandala that contains objects and substances empowered during the ritual. This powerful gathering is a focused effort to generate immense merit and blessings, which are then shared with the entire community.

What happens in this Drubchö?

  • During this retreat, the Drubchö of the White Dakini from the Dzinpa Rangdröl (Self-Liberation of Clinging) treasure cycle will be performed, revealed by the great Mahasiddha Do Kyentse Yeshe Dorje. This exalted lineage was held by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and Tulku Sangngag Rinpoche, who entrusted this precious lineage to Lama Tsultrim.
  • Lama Tsultrim will offer the Dzinpa Rangdröl empowerment (wang) at the beginning of the Drubchö.
  • We will practice the White Dakini Sadhana, centered on Machig Labdrön as the White Dakini, surrounded by the four retinue Dakinis. We will also practice the Ngöndro, Tröma Sadhana and Parchangma Chöd.
  • The final day of the Drubchö concludes with receiving the blessing substances and other objects inside the mandala, and offering of the Increasing Fire Puja (jinsek).

Who Should Attend?

  • This program is open to everyone.
  • Those in the Gateway Dragons cohort must attend one Drubchö in 2025, 2026, OR 2027. The Drubchö will occur annually.
  • It is recommended that you have familiarity with sadhana, tsog, and Chöd as the many hours of practice and the number of different practices in a Drubchö can be overwhelming for a newcomer.

What to bring?

  • Please bring your personal practice texts: Dzinpa Rangdröl Ngöndro, White Dakini Drubcho/Drubchen Text, Parchangma Chöd, and Glorious Bestowal of the Two Fold Benefit (the fire puja text). You are welcome to bring your own texts from the 2025 Drubchö or an earlier Drubchen. New texts will be available for purchase in the Tara Mandala Store. Practice texts are not included in the program tuition.
  • A mala, bell & vajra, and a small practice damaru. These implements are available through our Dakini Store.
  • Chöd damaru and kangling (optional). We’ll practice Parchangma Chöd in the evenings.
  • The use of dharma attire/ritual clothing is requested, including a zen and yogi skirt/chuba. Ritual clothing typically includes items in white and/or colors within the red spectrum, ranging from deep purple to pink and red. A zen or ritual shawl is also worn. We have these available for purchase in the Tara Mandala Dakini Store. You can also wear any clothes you have in this color spectrum, as long as they are modest and cover your shoulders and legs.
  • Slip-on Temple shoes
  • Water bottle, tea thermos
  • Cash or checks for dana. Many teachers now use PayPal and Venmo, but it can be meaningful to give a physical offering at the end of the Drubchö. If you plan on giving cash dana, smaller bills are helpful for dividing your offering between all the lamas, umzes, chopons, and volunteers.

Offering dana to the Teacher
The practice of offering dana, meaning “generosity,” is the traditional offering that a student makes to their teacher as a symbol of appreciation, gratitude, and reciprocity for receiving the precious teachings.
