Instructions for Submission of FYD Online Level II Practice Requirements

With the start of FYD Online Level II you need to have completed the following practice requirements: 

Secular Track

• 50 Solo Demon Feedings
• 15 Partner Demon Feedings
• Plant a Tree

Buddhist Track

• 50 Solo Demon Feedings
• 15 Partner Demon Feedings
• 80 hours of Prajñaparamita meditation
• Plant a Tree

As proof, please provide the following prerequisites for FYD Online Level II:

• FYD Practice Log (pdf | Microsoft Word)
  • Please fill in the details for your 65 Demon Feedings (50 solo + 15 partner).
• 12 Solo Demon Feedings 
  • Please choose 4 from the beginning of your FYD practice, 4 from the middle and 4 recent ones.
  • Please have your files clearly labeled using the naming convention listed below.
  • You can submit scans, pdfs or word documents.
  • Keep original copies of your tracking forms to referencing during the course.
• 15 Partner Demon Feedings 
  • Tracking forms from both partners equal one Partner Work process.
• Reflection Form (pdf  | Microsoft Word)
  • Please reflect on your experience of the 65 Demon Feedings you’ve completed and provide your reflections on this form.
• Prajñaparamita Practice Log (pdf | Microsoft Word)
  • Required for Buddhist Track participants only.
• Plant a Tree
  • Provide a photo of a tree you’ve planted or a certificate of sponsorship for a tree.

• Organize files into folders. Upload folders by transforming them into .zip files.
• Accepted file types include .pdf, .docx, .doc, .jpeg.

Suggested File Naming Convention

Solo Demon Feedings

FirstNameLastName-SOLO-FYD-YYYYMMDD 

Example: MichaelBrown-SOLO-FYD-20200523.pdf 

Partner Demon Feedings

FirstNameLastName-NameofPartner-PARTNER-FYD-Count-A / FirstNameLastName-NameofPartner-PARTNER-FYD-Count-B

Example:

Ben Wolf guides Jim, one of his kids, in an FYD process and fills out a tracking form. This equals the first half of one Partner Demon Feeding.

The next day he is guided by his friend Silvia. Silvia does not fill out a tracking form for him, but Ben tracks this process himself on a form. This equals the second half of one Partner Demon Feeding.

The tracking form from Ben guiding Jim and the tracking form from him being guided by Silvia together constitute 1 Partner Work process. 

Ben would name the files like this:

1) BenWolf-Jim-PARTNER-FYD-1-A.pdf 

2) BenWolf-Silvia-PARTNER-FYD-1-B.pdf
