October 14, 2026

with Megan Mook and Kevin Townley

Join DHARMA FRIENDS for an extra colorful and commemorative evening! Our fall gathering places Vajrayana Buddhism in dialogue with psychedelic experience and culture. The evening opens with a scholarly review about the possible use of plant-based psychedelics in ancient Buddhism with Dr. Doc Kelley, followed by a lively conversation with Drs Doc Kelley and David Kittay and DHARMA FRIENDS teachers Megan Mook and Kevin Townley.  Throughout the evening, we’ll share captivating stories and memories of Dr. Robert Thurman, who overlapped with Timothy O’Leary at Harvard.  The night concludes with a meditation and live tonal viola by resident musician Rob Ward.
